Chart Links and PistolStar, Inc., a provider of password management solutions, today announced plans to integrate PistolStar’s Password Power 8 Web Set Password Plug-In with Chart Links’ Rehabilitation Software. The browser-based password authentication and security solution will help Chart Links’ physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology and audiology customers to better protect patient information by more strictly securing password authentication and management processes.
“Our first priority in automating password management for our customers is to ensure that they are able to meet or exceed facility and industry security initiatives,” says Ron Miller, M.D., President and Chief Medical Officer of Chart Links. “Next up, we want to simplify the user experience by allowing single password access to Windows(r), LDAP and Chart Links applications. Finally, we expect to dramatically reduce the volume of Help Desk calls regarding password resets.”

ADVANCE for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists wrote about how Chart Links Integrates Reminders into Therapy Software. This functionality will allow speech therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and audiologists to reduce patient no-shows. The software, based on patient preferences, will notify the patient of their scheduled appointment either by email, telephone, or text message (SMS).
Ron Miller, M.D., our President and Chief Medical Officer, and Betty Esposito, our Vice President, were asked to contribute an online editorial to Executive Healthcare Management magazine. The article is entitled “Rehabilitation Clinics Can Level the Playing Field: Leveraging Electronic Charting Solutions to Improve Documentation, Coding Accuracy, and Billing Processes.”
The article covers the ways in which rehabilitation clinics can use software to track and bill for care in order to compete effectively and earn a profit in today’s market. The article delves into how electronic charting solutions help therapists to comprehensively and accurately document patient care, reducing human error and complying with regulatory requirements.
It covers four areas where electronic charting can help level the playing field with technology-enabled resources:
- Correct Coding Initiative Edits (CCI Edits)
- Time Tracking
- Account Tracking
